The first Laver Cup will be held at the O2 arena in Prague from September 22-24, 2017. The captain of Europe is Björn Borg, and the captain of World Team is John McEnroe.

The world's elite tennis players are coming to Prague for the first Laver Cup, which was founded by Roger Federer, Swiss professional tennis player, whose company TEAM8 is the main owner of this competition.

This new tournament is named after Australian tennis legend Rod Laver who won Grand Slam twice, in 1962 and 1969, and who is widely regarded as one of the greatest in the history.

Björn Borg of Sweden (for Europe) and John McEnroe of the United States (for the World Team) will serve as captains for the first three editions.

The European team is composed of Roger Federer (Switzerland), Rafael Nadal (Spain), Alexander Zverev (Germany), Marin Čilič (Croatia), Dominic Thiem (Austria) and Tomáš Berdych (Czech Republic).

The World Team is represented by Nick Kyrgios (Australia), Denis Shapovalov (Canada), Juan Martin Del Potr (Argentina) and John Isner, Sam Querrey and Jack Sock (all from the US).

The first Laver Cup will take place in Prague and, once again, Prague will be regarded as a very welcoming country with professional background, high level of safety and wide offer of world-famous tourist destinations and attractions.
