The tenth annual The Dvořák Prague Festival will feature orchestral and chamber music as well as vocal, piano and violin recitals.

Since 2008, the international music festival The Dvořák Prague Festival has been organized by the Academy of Classical Music (Akademie klasické hudby o.p.s.). The parade of top international orchestras, conductors and soloists begins on 8 September, the anniversary of the birth of the composer Antonín Dvořák.

A dominating feature of this year’s festival is the ‘Dvořák Collection’ series, in 2017 and 2018 offering superb works in which large choral ensembles join forces with vocal soloists and the rich sound of a full orchestra.

Prague will welcome renowned music ensembles such as Kristine Opolais, Piotr Beczala, René Pape, Michael Spyres, Adam Plachetka or Jan Martiník.

The Dvořák Prague Festival aims to further the reputation of the most famous Czech composers and of Czech classical music both nationally and internationally by presenting top performances by outstanding international musicians with the emphasis on the work of Antonín Dvořák.

The concerts of the Dvořákova Praha festival are characterized by breathtaking performances.  Dvořák’s emblematic work, the world-famous Symphony no. 9, is performed every year at the festival, each time in a new interpretation.
