Location

Old Town Square, one-minute walk from the hotel, forms the very heart of the historical Old Town, with such jewels as the Old Town Hall built around 1300 with the world-famous astronomical clock from 1410 or the Church of Our Lady before Týn from 1360. Today, the square is a busy and bustling place as it was centuries ago.

When you grow weary of the Old Town Square history, go in the opposite direction from the hotel, to Wenceslas Square, the cultural and business centre of Prague, dominated by the National Museum building in its upper part. The square has witnessed numerous historical events, including the mass protests against the communist regime in November 1989.

If you are interested in culture, visit the nearby Stavovské divadlo (Estates Theatre), one of the most beautiful theatre buildings in Europe. It is a part of the National Theatre, hosting also the opera ensemble performing especially Mozart’s works. The National Theatre is situated a short distance away.

Every visit to Prague should include a walk along the Charles Bridge, situated nearby. This historical jewel, crossing the Vltava river, is the oldest bridge in Prague. Its construction began in 1357, under the patronage of the King Charles IV of Bohemia, and ended in 1402. The bridge acquired its fame during the baroque period when it was decorated with thirty unique statues between 1707 and 1714. The bridge offers also magnificent views of the city. After crossing the bridge you will enter the Lesser Town with Prague Castle above. If you are interested in shopping, check out the nearby Pařížská Street with numerous luxury boutiques as well as the Palladium shopping centre situated ten minutes from the hotel.
